Last updated: 19 October 2025

1. Purpose

These Terms & Conditions outline the expectations and responsibilities for clients engaging in services through May She Flourish.
By booking or attending a session, you agree to the terms below.

2. Nature of Services

May She Flourish offers non-crisis, therapeutic-style support sessions focused on maternal wellbeing, identity, and adjustment through motherhood (matrescence).
Sessions are designed to provide emotional support, reflection, and guidance — they are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or psychiatric care.

If you are experiencing acute or crisis mental-health concerns, please contact:

  • Emergency Services: 111

  • 1737 — Need to Talk? (call or text 1737 anytime)

  • Healthline: 0800 611 116

  • Your GP or local mental-health crisis team

3. Bookings & Payments

  • Appointments are made via the online booking system (Setmore) or by direct arrangement.

  • Each session is 60 minutes and costs $140 NZD, payable by bank transfer on the day of your appointment.

  • You will receive confirmation and reminder emails through Setmore once your booking is confirmed.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the full session fee, except in unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, emergencies).

  • If you are unwell, particularly with contagious illness, an online session can be arranged instead.

5. Home Visits & Practitioner Safety

For in-home sessions, a few simple agreements help ensure the comfort and safety of everyone involved.

  • The home environment should be safe, respectful, and free from hazards or risks (for example, secure pets, clear walkways, smoke-free during the visit).

  • Please ensure privacy where possible so we can talk freely and without interruption.

  • For professional safety and accountability, Stacey location and expected departure time are shared with an agreed safety contact prior to and during each in-home session.

  • If at any time Stacey feels unsafe or the environment is unsuitable, the session may be ended or rescheduled to another format (e.g., online or in-person office space).

6. Confidentiality & Privacy

  • All information shared in sessions is confidential and handled in line with the Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) Code of Conduct and the Privacy Act 2020.

  • Confidentiality may only be broken if there is a serious concern for your safety or the safety of others, or where legally required.

  • Client information is securely stored and used solely for professional purposes relating to your care.

7. Professional Conduct & Supervision

Stacey May maintains current registration with the Social Workers Registration Board of Aotearoa New Zealand and engages in regular professional supervision to ensure safe, ethical practice.

8. Scope of Practice

Services are focused on supporting mothers and birthing parents through matrescence. May She Flourish does not provide:

  • Crisis intervention or acute mental-health care

  • Medical, diagnostic, or medication services

  • Specialist therapy outside the scope of social work practice

If specialised or clinical intervention is required, appropriate referrals will be suggested.

9. Support Persons

Sessions are designed for mothers; however, you are welcome to bring a support person if that feels helpful. Please discuss this ahead of time to ensure the session space remains comfortable and supportive for all.

10. Feedback & Complaints

I value transparency and open communication. If you have concerns about your experience, please reach out directly so we can discuss and resolve the issue together.

If you prefer to take your concern further, you may contact the Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB), which manages professional standards and complaints about registered social workers.
Visit www.swrb.govt.nz for more information.

11. Website & Content Use

All materials, text, and images on the May She Flourish website are the intellectual property of Stacey May unless otherwise credited. They may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.

These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically. The most recent version will always be available on this website.
